In 2008, after thirteen years of driving over the road, SleeperKing founder Rich Petry made a plan to level up the quality of sleep drivers were limited by.

Growing up, Rich caught the trucking bug by riding along with his grandfather. After years as an over the road owner/operator, Rich accepted a regional job driving for Omaha Bedding Company. Realizing that most manufacturers cut corners on truck and RV mattresses, Rich designed his first custom mattress to fit his truck sleeper — and now the rest is history!
