What We Can Build
Every SleeperKing mattress is made to order, so a custom size costs you a measurement rather than a compromise. These are the limits we work within.
Cuts and shapes we handle
Radius corners
Rounded corners to match a slide-out, a curved wall or a moulded platform. Tell us the radius, or trace the corner onto paper and send a photo — we'll work from either.
Notch cuts
Square or angled cut-outs for wheel wells, nightstands, heater vents and cabinet returns that intrude into the foot or side of the bed.
Angled and tapered sides
Platforms that narrow toward the foot, or sit against a sloping wall in a fifth wheel or Class B. We build the taper in rather than forcing a rectangle.
Split and bi-fold builds
Two-piece mattresses for beds that lift for storage access, or platforms reachable only through a narrow doorway.
Low-profile builds
Reduced thickness for loft beds, drop-down bunks and slide-outs where headroom or closing clearance is tight.
Van and overland conversions

How to Measure for a Custom RV Mattress
Getting this right takes about five minutes and it is the whole job. Measure the platform, not the mattress currently sitting on it — old mattresses compress, curl and shrink, and copying their dimensions repeats whatever went wrong last time.
- Pull the old mattress out completely. Measure the bare platform or bunk pan.
- Take width at the narrowest point and length at the shortest. RV platforms are rarely square. If the two ends differ, give us both numbers and note which is which.
- Record every intrusion. Wheel wells, nightstands, heater vents, cabinet returns, angled walls. Measure how far each one cuts in and how far along the bed it sits.
- Trace any radius corner. Lay paper in the corner, trace the curve, photograph it with a tape measure alongside for scale.
- Check your headroom. Slide-outs, loft beds and drop-down bunks limit how thick a mattress can be and still close. Measure from platform to ceiling or to the closed position.
- Caught between two sizes? Go smaller. An oversized mattress bows at the corners, wears out early and is miserable to sheet.
One thing worth knowing
RV manufacturers change bed platforms between model years, and two coaches with the same floorplan and different build dates can take different mattresses. Measure even if you know your floorplan, and even if a previous owner told you what size it takes.

Can you build any size RV mattress?
Yes, within 24" to 80" wide and 48" to 84" long, in 8", 10" or 12" thickness. Radius corners, notch cuts, angled sides and split builds are all standard work rather than special requests.
How much more does a custom RV mattress cost?
A custom size is quoted per job, based on the dimensions and cuts involved. There is no separate design or tooling fee — you pay for the mattress, not for the fact that it's custom.
How long does a custom RV mattress take?
Three to four weeks from approved measurements to delivery. We confirm your dimensions in writing before cutting.
What if I measure wrong?
We check every set of measurements against the make and model you give us, and query anything that looks off before building. Custom sizes still carry the 120-night guarantee.
Do you build for van conversions and self-builds?
Yes. Sprinter, Transit, ProMaster and one-off platforms are among the most common custom jobs we see, because a self-built platform is almost never a standard mattress size.
Can you match a corner radius from a photo?
Yes. Trace the corner onto paper, photograph it with a tape measure alongside for scale, and send it with your quote request.
