The Peterbilt 379 takes a 42x80 semi truck mattress — 42 inches wide by 80 inches long — in a standard sleeper configuration. That's the widest of the three standard semi truck mattress sizes, and it fits most Peterbilt sleepers including the 389 and 579. Before ordering, measure the inside of your bunk pan head to foot and side to side, then subtract one inch from each figure so the mattress drops in without bulging at the edges. Cab trim packages and custom sleeper builds can vary by about an inch, and older 379s in particular were ordered in a range of configurations — so measure rather than relying on the model year alone.
