RV Bed Size Reference Guide

Measure Once. Sleep Better.

RV beds don't follow household sizing — an RV queen is usually six inches shorter than the one in your house. Measure your platform, then match it below.

RV Standard Twin Bunks, dinette conversions, slide-out beds 38 × 74 Yes Yes Yes
RV Twin XL Longer bunk platforms 38 × 80 Yes
Full — 48″ to 54″ Wide
RV Full Narrow three-quarter platforms 48 × 74 Yes Yes Yes
RV Standard Full 54 × 74 Yes Yes Yes

King — 70″ to 72″ Wide

How to measure

  1. Pull the old mattress out and measure the platform, not the mattress sitting on it.
  2. Take width at the narrowest point and length at the shortest.
  3. Note any radius corners, angled walls, or a nightstand cutting into the foot of the bed.
  4. Check headroom — slide-out and loft beds limit how thick a mattress will clear.

Between two sizes? Order the smaller one. An oversized mattress bows at the corners and wears out early. RV builders also change bed platforms between model years, so measure even if you know your floorplan. Ask us about a custom cut for radius corners or an odd platform.

RV Owner Reviews
What RV Owners Are Saying
Real RV owners. Real road trips. Real sleep.
"The dual-sided design is perfect for full-time RV life. Cool gel side in the Arizona summer, warm side in the Colorado mountains. We camp year-round and this mattress handles everything we throw at it."

"The Three Zone Support System is what sold me. I have a bad lower back and have tried every mattress on the market for our RV Queen. The zoned lumbar support on the Premium is the only thing that's actually made a difference."

"Worth every penny of the $765. The 6 Sided Foam Encasement means I can sleep all the way to the edge without rolling off. In a smaller RV bedroom that edge support matters more than people realize. Absolute game changer."

"The flippable design is brilliant for RV life. I flip it every 6 months and it feels brand new every time. I've had this mattress 2 years now and it still sleeps like the first night. Best long-term investment we've made for our rig."

"My husband runs hot and I run cold. The Premium is the only mattress we've found that actually solves that problem. Cool gel side for him, warm side for me. We finally stopped fighting over the thermostat at 2am."

"1,000 individually encased coils on an RV mattress sounds like overkill until you feel it. Zero motion transfer — my wife gets up at 5am every morning and I don't feel a thing. The Laminated Construction feels like it'll last a decade."
